Re: EMERICK LAGOS TAPE HMC VS MISTERCLAUDEL
. 8-) NEW UPDATE  https://i.postimg.cc/Kv8FPJ6m/Band-On-The-Run-Underdubbed-2small.png I have completely updated this, so if interested, please delete the old one and replace with this. Better EQ on some tracks, wonky levels further addressed for the smoothest possible ride. Gap in Mamunia fi...

Re: EMERICK LAGOS TAPE HMC VS MISTERCLAUDEL
Here's an "Underdubbed 2" I've put together, using the latest Lagos mixes, together with a few DTS remixes I did years ago (including an 8 minute 1985). I've EQ'd where necessary, and smoothed out the levels for optimum enjoyment. The artwork is the wall used for the LP cover. https://dri...

That doesn't sound like John's vocal at all.

Re: Spoken ‘intro’ on 1960 ‘I’ll Follow The Sun’
"I need the sun by gmmph". It sounds to me like John is stifling the last word, as one might if a performance is about to start, or if Paul had "shooshed" him with a hand gesture. John is speaking in his "E.L.Wisty" kind of voice.

Re: What I want in '24
I Just Don't Understand and Anna. Wow. Time stands still for me. Stowe School is my favourite live recording of theirs by far. I love the Star Club tapes, but the band do sound a little bit jaded. At Stowe School they're on fire, still hungry, still punk rock. The audience is loving it, without comp...

Re: What I want in '24
A cleaned up Stowe School tape would be my choice. There's something magical about that gig. I have listened to it far more times than I have listened to any of the Giles remixes.

Re: John Barrett and Roger Scott - legit info?
I used to listen to Roger Scott on Capital Radio in the 70s. He played a lot of Beatles stuff - that's where I heard many Beatles tracks for the first time. He was also great mates with Kenny Everett (the greatest DJ ever) who also worked at Capital Radio. Kenny was another Beatles freak, who would ...

Re: The Beatles And Harry At The Beeb
Wading through all this stuff right now, and probably for the rest of the day. A massive thank you. It has never sounded better.
