The problem is that all versions are originally from a VHS source with a resolution of only 320*482. Presumably Amazon used a better SD source (Betamax 625/576i maybe?). I don't know. The excellent podcast Nothing Is Real is particularly strong on Anthology and Season 3 Episode 4 has more to say on this, not least that there were 6 1 hour UK episodes and that the 3 2 hour US episodes had less material to accommodate ads. It also talks about the scheduling, which was a mess.
