Re: The Mamas & The Papas mono albums
I've Googled it up and at least the first album tape exists in mono. There are mono CDs by Sundazed but that company has dubious reputation regarding such things.

Re: Book - British invasion recomendation wanted ....
There are quite a few. From the newer ones, I'd suggest books by Manfred Kuhlmann on Merseybeat - look for the latest versions. (I also remember a fantastic book with the title like "Rocklopedia", but somehow I am not able to find this title on my list of books. But I do have it. Will look...

Re: Billy J Kramer BBC tracks collection wanted.
I know the BBC issued several different cds done by The Beatles ( Of Course ) the Kinks,The Hollies,The Who,The Rolling Stones., The Yardbirds. but not too many by lesser known groups that were part of the British Invasion. Re: Was Back in the USSR controversial at the time it was released?
Nah, the song's references were nothing but contemporary. (Khruschev also was a man of note from the war period, but he did not serve in the ...

Re: Was Back in the USSR controversial at the time it was released?
There's an anthology of rock writing called "The Age of Rock" from 1970, I believe, and it has two pieces next to each other. One is by a guy who was some leading publicist of the American Right (not the Rev. David A. Nobel who authored "da book"), and the gist of his article (re...
