Re: Beatles Original Anthology TV Broadcasts

Thanks Hitachi, I was a bit suspicious about the length of the episodes as BBC ones would have been about an hour long. I'll have a brouse in the web when I get chance. You never know what may turn up.

Best wishes.

Re: Beatles Original Anthology TV Broadcasts

Hi TURNOPHONE, I don't know if this info is useful. There are 8 episodes of Anthology on Vemeo but as I don't have an account I can't check to see if they are the BBC ones. BUT fingers crossed I think they might be.

Best wishes for you search.

Re: General Pepper's Friday Vintage Beatleg Emporium

Tranisitions between tracks was a big thing in the 80's. I remember the band Sigue Sigue Sputnik offering to sell the spaces between tracks on the LP for advertising. If you remember correctly TAKRL started it on bootlegs back in the 70's with Bowie's Soft in the middle having an overload. Thanks fo...

Re: cleaned up bbc tracks, opinions please

Thank you so much for these. I don't mind the trannie type sound, it reminds me of listening to them on my litle transister radio of an evening on the beach. I have in the past bought bootlegs with far worse sound. :D

I found it amusing that the photo on the cover of Beatles at the Beeb is from Mathew Street Liverpool, and is on the wall opposite the site where the Cavern used to be. The doorway bottom right of the picture was the en...

Re: Beatles Trading Cards - New Scans

I remember collecting the Yellow submarine sweet cigarette cards as a teenager. I used them as inspiration to paint large collage paintings (no I didn't stick them to the board), but when I went away to art college my parents binned the lot. Parents :x
