Re: Harry And His Box Set
I hate to ask this... but is this really Paul? Or is Kenny pulling our leg? I'm stuck in the middle. It is contemporary with Hello Goodbye, so it is possible. The vocals are reflective of McCartney as heard on the Christmas tape. Or is it just Kenny goofing around? Can someone ask Paul? Please?

Re: Complete Recording Sessions NEW UPDATES (Vol. 12 available)
Maybe make it an optional bonus? It is a McCartney studio performance.masterjedi wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 8:02 pm What are people's thoughts about including the Donovan session? Keeping in mind that it was for a Mary Hopkin album, conflicting reports of it occurring at EMI, and how much I dislike Donovan.

Re: Complete Recording Sessions NEW UPDATES (Vol. 12 available)
So, what does everyone think? Replace IATW US stereo with German stereo, or just leave it? Also, should I speed correct the Hey Bulldog tracks, or leave them at the speed of the released version? At some point, you are just splitting hairs. At what point do you this is good enough? I think you can ...

Re: Red & Blue Albums
I've been listening to the new mixes on Breakfast with the Beatles this morning, as my CDs are still on the way. The new mixes are pure joy. The instrumentation has more punch. The clarity is amazing. I've said it before, Giles mixes are revealing. It's like they cleaned the windows and we can see e...

Re: Now And Then (merged threads)
I finally watched the music video, and was expecting to feel sad. However I found myself laughing with joy through most of it. It is so clever and incredibly realistic, which brings a massive poignancy to it. The old Free As A Bird video stretched the tech of the time to its outer limits but that w...

Re: Stowaway (beta vsn 3)
Thanks. I chose the versions very carefully and edited them where there was something that did not match up performance-wise to the Stowe tape. In my estimation this is probably 95% identical to what was heard on the day. Sure, the odd bass note will be different but when all is said and done, does...
