Re: A few of Tex's "Let It Be/Get Back" 2024 mixes

It works! I really like the reverb-guitarry Naked version, but this is nice, too, and now becomes (slightly) my favorite. I think this is a song -- like While My Guitar Gently Weeps -- that's listenable either way. I hope you get bored a lot! :D

It sounds great. It's always good to have some audio in a channel where there was none before. Thanks as always!

Re: britt's A Taste of Honey

I hope many more folks learn how to separate two guitar parts that are hard to distinguish because I love that, probably more than anything else in remixes. I suspect that that will happen as we go along.

Re: britt's A Taste of Honey

Nowherefan, may I ask which Britt mixes are your favorites and which you see as the most interesting alternates? I must say I like his take on "And I love her", but for example his Penny Lane I dislike. This one was one of them, but now I've changed my mind after hearing Tex's version. Th...

Re: britt's A Taste of Honey

There should not be any artifacts unless Britt tried to break down the vocal extract further than neccesary and pan them too wide. This is one of the fatal mistakes with pulling vocals apart. I only do and use more extensive vocal seps if they are actually good and even then I make sure they overla...

Re: britt's A Taste of Honey

I listened to a lot of his mixes just now and sadly many if not all feature vocal artifacts from the demixer. Like on this Taste of Honey at 1:01, the second 'tu tuu tu tuuu', the background vocals sound 'bubbly' like a low quality mp3. The word 'for' also gets distorted repeatedly, when just Paul ...

Re: Tex's "White Album" 2024 remixes

They did have the capacity to move the beginning part to the center, according to what you just said. It just sounds weird to have only one channel, even if it's only for a few seconds. Your mix takes care of that annoyance.

britt's A Taste of Honey

britt 2001b is coming up with some nice very early Beatles remixes. I look forward to each new one; and they're coming out almost weekly. Notes: "For this remix, I’ve reimagined the soundstage to create a more natural listening experience. The lead vocal now sits firmly in the center, accompani...

Re: Tex's "From Me To You" and "Thank You Girl" 2023 remixes

I'll Get You is perfect, beating my previous fave from "listenable" (Horowitz) by a considerable margin. Thanks so much! You're right; it has the punchy quality of mono but the depth and spaciousness of stereo. The best of both worlds!
