Re: DVD Player That "Casts" to TV?

Why not rip them to mkv format? Then you can copy them to any device and cast them. Or put them on a usb stick and pllug that into your tv.

makkemkv (free) will do the trick.

Re: Origin of term 'Beatleg'

I have the 1978 edition and still love it, although their turn of phrase can be a bit odd ("takes two to heavy pet, sang John") Do you think you could scan or do a hirez photo of those two pages for us please? It looks interesting, and I'd like to read what they said about boots in 1975. ...

Re: Who was it who posted on BZ a few years back about Paris being shot on 800 line videotape?

Thanks! Wish someone had archived that thread. It had a lot of info and pictures. Bootlegzone forum is archived in the wayback machine (part of archive.org). The difficulty is that it is not searchable - but you can browse the whole forum. *all* you need to do is remember the date (more or less) wh...

Re: "Carnival of Light" samples in "Revolution 9"

, and since we've never heard so much as a second of the real mcoy, how would we evewr know? I am always surprised that nothing from "Carnival of Light" has ever turned up. On the one hand, all those people who attended the event will have heard it, and got close to the actual tape. Maybe...

It includes such sensible quotes as: If you imagine training a dog with treats it will learn to ...

Re: FABRACADABRA! (V6)

Over the last couple of weeks I've been listening to Abracadabra, which must be my favourite way of hearing The Beatles. If this is better, it must be fabulous indeed. Really looking forward to this new set. As always, thanks a lot, Lord Reith.

Re: Revolver 2022... on or off?

I'm surprised how few people have seen Robert Freeman's Revolver cover, as it was on p210 of the Anthology hardback book. What I would like to see in the Revolver book are the sheet music illustrations by Klaus Voorman. Here are some low quality screen grabs from around the internet. REVOLVER+SHEET+...

Re: Eric Clapton wins case against German woman selling bootlegged CD

i would have expected a take down order and deletion of the sale by ebay and a nasty letter to the lady and that would be it a lawsuit makes me think there was more involved According to The Guardian in the UK https://www.theguardian.com/music/2021/dec/17/eric-clapton-wins-legal-case-against-woman-...
