Re: John Lennon/Chuck Berry - Memphis Tennessee Live 1972

I remember someone was able to remove Yoko from "Happy Xmas". Not that I objected to her being there, but it sounded nice! No idea where I put the file, though.

Re: PRIVATE PSYCHEDELIC REEL 1966-68 (FLASHBACK LABEL)

Very nice. I have the other Beatles discs (a box set, on silver) from Flashback as well (partly because I didn't want some less knowledgeable person to buy it and feel ripped off, LOL), so this is good for completing the collection. May track down the silver version someday, if only for the nice pac...

Re: Let It Be Trailer OUT!

It looks great. Not too much "sharpness" or whatever that was that were applied to "Get Back". And it looks like the 4:3 original image ratio. Cool! I was just about to say that it looks like they're going with the original 4:3. The only widescreen shot in the whole trailer was ...

Re: The Beatles - Grow Old With Me (2024 Mix)

There have been many (really nice!) attempts at this kind of edit before, but I think this could be the best one. John's vocals on this song are clear as a bell, and the addition of the AYNIL vocals is always welcome in one of these mixes, as well as those gorgeous "oohs". A certified winn...

Re: Woman is the [Slave] of the World (AI)

This is the version they should have played on the radio (leaving the album version as-is, of course). Similar to what they did with Harry Nilsson's "You're Breakin My Heart". Funny how no one thought do this until now. It's censorship, yes, but if you wanted to get airplay, there were rul...

Re: Did anybody get any cool Record Store Day loot?

I got the glow-in-the-dark Mind Games EP, the Ringo EP on marbled vinyl, the two George picture discs, and the mono "The Birds, The Bees & the Monkees" colored vinyl. Worth the 90-minute wait, I'd say.

Fantastic! They should legitimately release this version as a bonus track somewhere.

Re: WATCHING RAINBOWS - THE ULTIMATE GET BACK SESSIONS REMASTER (release thread)

Glad to see this finally out there. Thanks to everyone who participated in this surely gargantuan project. Thanks to them and anyone listening through to check for anomalies as well. I'm going to wait until all the patches are done, then sit back and experience the Beatles, raw and ragged, as they ...
