Re: Michael Lindsay-Hogg's 'Let It Be' is coming!
If it were coming out on dvd instead of going to streaming, I'd guess that it would certainly be in 4:3 But Disney are likely to reject a 4:3 version, which creates a problem because then they'd also say "Our customers expect to see the same thing on the disc as they did on streaming". So...

That Antiques Roadshow clip is great. Who thought a fretless guitar was a good idea? No wonder John (and then George) gave it away! I could never understand what the hell John was playing in that interview! I thought that the speed of the tape was funny and that is why it was so wobbly. To my knowl...

Re: Stereo separation differences on various releases?
I remember when I first heard the DESS needledrops through Purple Chick, I thought they were much more dynamic compared to the '87 CDs. I suppose that may have been because the '87 CDs were likely flat transfers (correct me if I'm wrong), but I've sometimes suspected it was also partly due to analog...

The Yamaha DX7. Used well into the '90s too.Lord Reith wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2024 10:13 am The thing I hate about the 80s is that horrible electric piano sound with heavy chorus. EVERYBODY used it! It's like it was compulsory or something. You know the one I mean.

Re: Harry And His Box Set
Okay, so we know that at a Beatle Party they drink 7-Up and listen to Mary Wells. Do we know what those biscuits are? They look like Ritz. But what about those things with toothpicks through them? What are those? They look a lot like lychees, but that seems very improbable. My second guess is pearl...

Re: So, does Ringo sing on "Now and then"?
I kept wondering why they didn't fix Paul's vocals at least a little. He sounds like he's really struggling to hit some notes, which makes it a bit difficult for me to listen to it...

Re: SEVENTEEN (+ EP#1 & 2 + single)
Now all we need is a version of Be Bop a Lula with AI Paul or John vocals... I'd do it myself if I had the know-how and a computer powerful enough to do it.

I've met two of the Rutles (briefly). Does that count?
