It'e been superceded by yt-dlp. Effectively it's the same, just with a different name. Also on github.

Re: Best Youtube converter/downloader "A must have question"

Youtube seem to have completely changed their delivery system. It'll take a while for everyone to catch up. The worst thing they've done recently is downgrade all audio on the free option to 50kb/s. Not sure if you can still get 128 if you sign into a free account. I'm still getting 128 with youtub...

Re: Harry And His Court Jesters: The Music Video

The picture is a bit ropey isn't it? Lots of interlacing lines which are burnt into the actual film print. ATV sure weren't as good at transferring video to film as the BBC. Still, remarkable that it survives at all. It's a telerecording(kinescope) of a 405 line tv isn't it? It all looks like that....

Connie Francis - Sunday Night At The London Palladium 1960 & 1961 (TV audio)

A nice quality line recording of Connie's 1960-05-08 & 1961-03-12 appearances on Sunday Night At The London Palladium.

Re: Harry And His Box Set (V1, 2, 7, 10, 12, 15, 14 update.)

Just to clarify though for those of us coming to this late: "Note that any patches contained in later volumes have not been applied and need to be done by you. The exception is V24 where you do not have to do anything." What does this refer to? Are there patches for earlier volumes contai...

I was thinking the same myself. I wouldn't be surprised if there are more updates not too far in the future.

Re: Harry And His Box Set (V1, 2, 7, 10, 12, 15, 14 update.)

Thanks LR! I've lost count how many versions there've been of the BBC set but each one brings us a little bit more. I can still remember the amazement of finding the 9-cd (with the little extra bonus disc) Great Dane set at a record fair in the late 90's. Does anyone have an idea of how many extra s...

Nancy Whiskey - "Freight Train" (1957) - Unreleased version

Found among the collection of an ex-bbc sound guy on a tiny little reel that was probably intended to be used in a radio show at the time. (Whether it was used or not is unknown.) A live version was released on an EP in 1993 but this is not that version. hxxps://archive.org/details/nancy-whiskey-fre...

Re: Burning tiff files to Audio CD

This time the burner was able to burn my converted files but the finished cd skips? Is my cheap cd writer the issue? Are the converted files the correct spec (44.1 / 16) ? If they aren't, the burning program is having to convert the files on the fly. If so, convert again, making sure they're 44.1 /...
