Re: What is the best digital source for the 1966 stereo mix of Strawberry Fields Forever?

Rafael_szot is just reasoning incorrectly. PC did use Dr Ebbett's Horzu rip for the regular mix, included as the very first track on Sgt Pepper's Deluxe (see artwork for the start of disc 1 here ), but for the alternate mix (being the '66 or RS3 or whatever you call it) it used Dr Ebbett's rip of US...

Youtube has never been for sale. On the contrary, Musk came very close to selling Tesla to Google.

Re: Analog to Digital conversion

And the big downside of DVD recording is that you will be using a very outdated compression format (MPEG-2) for the digital master.

Re: Surprised by N&T used in movie

With these kinds of B-movies they tend to include recently released tracks for promotional purposes. Another good example is Believer by Imagine Dragons on the trailer for the 2017 Murder On The Orient Express. For those who aren't familiar: it's a murder mystery set on a luxury train in the Balkans...

Re: Michael Lindsay-Hogg's 'Let It Be' is coming!

None of that turnover was from the band’s let alone specifically Lennon-McCartney’s doing, it all just happened or was forced on by others (GM forcing Brian to either ditch Pete or accept session drummers). Also by that time the band had two sides: US pop covers and own material. For the first, all ...

Re: Michael Lindsay-Hogg's 'Let It Be' is coming!

Post hoc ergo propter hoc (Latin: 'after this, therefore because of this') is an informal fallacy which one commits when one reasons, "Since event Y followed event X, event Y must have been caused by event X." Its a fallacy in which an event is presumed to have been caused by a closely pr...

Re: Michael Lindsay-Hogg's 'Let It Be' is coming!

To me the break up started during the ‘66 tour when George already threatened to leave the band and everyone went their own ways before regrouping for Pepper. Then they buried the fab four band basically on the album cover. Brian was a second nail in the coffin but certainly not someone who could ha...
