Re: Ready Steady Go! Rehearsal Footage JUST Released!
just noticed Paul hasn't got a guitar strap.👀 That's because this is most likely the day he received the new bass! See how shiny it is, and notice in the previous shots he's using the old '61 bass (with the two pickups on neck and middle positions as opposed to neck and bridge on the '63) 8-) Thank...

Re: The most exhaustive chronology possible of The Beatles and post-Beatles
Great collection! I'd love to list all I have like you did, but then I'd like to click on the name and listen to the song! So is there a way to link a file or folder inside an excel document? Of course I don't want to embed the audio file in the sheet - just a hyperlink to a specific position in a h...

Re: Puttin' On The Style (AI voiceover removal)
I've always heard these as two different versions for some reason - one fast ... one slow. This is the first time I've heard the song as starting slow and then speeding up. Was that really the way the song was performed? You're right, it seemed to be two different versions, but now I think they spe...

Re: 1966 Shea Overdubs, NO CROWD. Help! & I Feel Fine
I was just testing that very thing, I'll include both of the stems for you, crowd and Beatles If I Fell, sourced from Lord Reith's Hollywood Bowl remixes, pretty clean imo Oh Cool! There's some moments where it's nearly perfect! Then the drums gets eaten away... but still! It's great to hear clearl...

I think our very own csnyfan is probably even more ahead of Apple and of Peter Jackson's MAL
But the results you got are encouraging!
I am thinking of removing the Bowl remix audience... that quality is superb, and it's just ruined by the screams!

Re: Delta Mono - The Beatles at EMI in early 1963
Very interesting subject! I have to admit I never heard about the delta mono, though I had always explained all the session tapes we have came from a mono machine that was "running parallel". I have the great Recording The Beatles book, and could not find an answer on this. Maybe the info ...

Re: 1966 Shea Overdubs, NO CROWD. Help! & I Feel Fine
Great work! Seattle is just a bit too muddy, I'd leave a tiny % of the audience noise in the mix just to have some high end... After all, in this case, we simply want to hear the guys play above their audience - not erase the audience completely. For the Shea tapes the idea is different: you want to...

This makes much more sense!
Sound reinforcement at a typical Beatles concert would mainly (if not only) feature the vocal mikes, so it's possible that they had two channels for the vocal mikes and that's it.
As to how we only got the left side, that's puzzling!

Re: Is This Real? Any More Info Would be Nice To Have
I really doubt the "shotgun microphone pointed at Paul" thing. It's really not possible to get this kind of sound with a shotgun microphone. To me it's a soundboard recording that only happened to receive the signal from Paul's vocal microphone, that picked up sound from his amp placed rig...
