Re: Let It Be Film - end of an era
I was thinking about how back in the day I ran into a LIB laser disk in the local video rental store and was able to talk my parents into renting it, along with a LD player, plus a VHS player - so that I could try to record a copy of it. I figured it out and had what I considered a decent copy of t...

Re: Michael Lindsay-Hogg's 'Let It Be' is coming!
I guess Apple must not want to invest any extra cash into this considering that it's 2 weeks away and we've got no trailer.

Re: Michael Lindsay-Hogg's 'Let It Be' is coming!
First-most I expect it to be just like the previous restorations and the promos on 1+, so a straight transfer with minimal corrections except for the regular dirt and scratches fixed. Then secondly we might expect a widescreen version, like R&R Circus as was mentioned, but as that requires a re...

Re: Michael Lindsay-Hogg's 'Let It Be' is coming!
Assuming that Michael has final say I'd like to imagine it's 4:3 because the Furmanek remaster (seen on HMC) was 4:3 and the unreleased Smeaton remaster (seen in Living in the Material World and McCartney 321.) was also 4:3 If it were coming out on dvd instead of going to streaming, I'd guess that ...

Re: MLH's 'Let It Be' is coming!
"Black and white director's cut?" Never heard that before . . . Footage of it has been seen on MCP and HMC DVDs as well as the "Picture Perfect" Winter of Discontent DVD. The reason for it being black and white was because it was a print of the negative. From my understanding, t...

Re: MLH's 'Let It Be' is coming!
what will make it worthwhile, and watchable beyond one time, would be extra material -- and especially a "director's cut" with far fewer edits. Let us see the songs completed!! Unfortunately (per Peter Jackson's words) the black and white Michael Lindsay Hogg director's cut is long gone. ...

Re: [NEW] Beatles Live in Detroit 1966 8mm
Hey everyone! This is the third film from the DVD I was sent, and its the other Beatles reel on the disc. I apologize for this being so dark, but as much as possible has been done to make this one brighter. I've also dubbed in sound from Candlestick Park as it is the best available audio from the t...

Re: What unreleased bootleg is YOUR "Holy Grail"
Did you see that clip of George and John at Shea in the new "Now And Then" video? Looks like 4K and it's a gorgeous shot. I'd like the complete film of that, please! That might actually be the most "realistic want" , maybe in 2025, they have a great trasnfer sitting in the vault...
